#1 - Best Black (Brown) Mackerel Tabby with White Maine Coon
In the GREAT LAKES REGION for 2007-2008!!
Welcome to Carstutz Cattery! We live in Brighton, Ontario CANADA and are avid animal lovers. Over the past six years, we have enjoyed renewing our love of Maine Coons (having bred them 20 years ago), and are breeding and showing our cats in a wide array of colours (we tend to specialise in smokes and cameos and dilutes). We specialise in breeding cats of great temperament, health and longevity, with a focus on the more feral looking cats. Our breeding cats have only one litter per year, and the kittens are raised underfoot in a loving environment, from birth until they leave our home after vaccination and a full-check up by by our vet. Our cats are never caged and share our home with us.
As stated, we work with the rarer colours. Given that we only breed our cats once every year, if you are not willing to wait for a specific colour, or we don't predict having a kitten that matches your needs in the near future, we are happy to refer you on to another reputable breeder that we work with – just let us know your particular needs. Please make sure you do your homework when it comes to searching for a kitten – these animals are wonderful additions to families/homes, but there are intrinsic health issues with this breed, and reputable breeders should and will be able to answer all questions on the health issues of their kittens/cats.

Contact Information and Email:
If you are interested in a kitten, please drop us an email and I will keep you on file for future litters. Please note that if you contact us about a kitten, we would appreciate a detailed request, complete with you name and address (what area of the world you live in), history of cat ownership (including cats you currently own and where they came from (e.g. shelter rescue, purebred from a breeder, etc.), an idea of what the cat's living arrangements will be, contact information of a regular vet, and details of how he will be raised/treated as a member of your family. These kittens are not a commodity to us, they are bred to become members of your family (some for Show/Breeding), to allow you to enjoy for many years the same joy we find in owning these wonderful cats. Some courtesy is telling us about yourself, history of ownership, and honest plans for the cat including living environments and medical support, would be greatly appreciated and would go a long way to having your request considered seriously.
